On Saturday, September 2nd, Councilman Mark Cuthbertson had the honor in helping to kickoff the annual “Hockey Helps 24-Hour Marathon” hosted by the New York Rangers Ice Hockey Organization.
“Congratulations to Adam Graves and the NY Rangers Organization for helping to make this year’s ‘Hockey Helps” 24-Hour Marathon such a success,” stated Councilman Mark Cuthbertson. “All of the proceeds that were raised will benefit a local charity that helps to provide summer camps for families who are less fortunate,” added Cuthbertson.
Councilman Cuthbertson was joined by NY Rangers great, Adam Graves, along with Huntington’s Paralympic gold medal winner, Mikey Brannigan and his father, Kevin at the Dix Hills Ice Rink.
The fundraiser raised more than $400,000 with all proceeds benefiting the Northshore Holiday House, a local charitable organization that provides free summer camps to more than 200 children each summer.
